PMI® members and nonmembers are encouraged to submit proposals to present a topic at a PMI Global
Congress. Because the number of presentations staged at any event is limited, and the number of submissions is high, the presentations chosen are held to the highest standards. The selection process is guided by a committee of members which includes a project committee and additional PMI member Subject Matter Experts who review and score each submission. (For
more information on the review criteria, see the Selection Criteria .)

There are two processes required for submitting a proposal.
If you have never submitted a proposal before you will need to create a personal profile. This
is a one-time process that creates a file containing your contact information, resume and curriculum vitae. NO ACTUAL
SUBMISSIONS SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THIS RECORD. Once you have created your profile you will have access to the proposal
submission site for a specific congress. Personal profiles should be checked and updated frequently to assure that contact
information is correct.
If you already have a personal profile please review the remaining introductory pages and be sure to review your profile to
assure the information is up to date. You should verify your e-mail address and be sure your cell phone number is included.
Access to your record is through your pin number. If you have forgotten your pin number, click forgot your password on the login page . The
link will use the e-mail address currently in your record. If your e-mail has changed, contact congressspeakers@pmi.org and
request your e-mail address be updated.
The ability to forward a submission to a new congress is limited.
No presentation can be considered if it:
- was initially proposed more than 1 year prior to a current congress (e.g. a presentation initially proposed on or
before the February 2005 congress may not be submitted for a congress in May 2006);
- has been submitted or already presented to 2 congresses in a congress year.
If you wish to forward a submission to a new congress you MUST verify the area of focus.
Failure to adhere to submisson requirements will delay, and may denyany consideration of your submission. Instructions on how to forward are available on the submission web site.
As a nonprofit professional organization, PMI does not provide honoraria for presenters. All Speakers are also required to cover their own travel and hotel expenses and pay a reduced rate for attending the event.
